Laws Observatory is open every Wednesday night, weather permitting, during the school year on the fifth floor of the Physics Building. While some people look up at the stars in the observatory upstairs, others check out the displays downstairs. Tyler Doering and Michael Barton (pictured first) spend their Wednesday night learning about the constellations on April 13, 2016. Doering was flipping through a book while Barton found the constellations on the computer. Mia Carter and Brandon Barlett argue over whether Pluto was ever a planet or not on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Carter and Barlett came to the observatory after a speaker that night. The picture of the outside of the observatory was found on aroundcolumbia.blogspot.com.
